Moscow

Things we love:

There is phone service on the metro, even if it feels a million miles underground and you can’t read any of the signs.

Some bars are open mega late – till 6am!!

Moscow is  huge – we’re talking 18 million people.

Things we wish we’d known:

Unless they work in a hotel or international bar, no one speaks English.

While winter is beyond freezing, summer can be insanely hot at 40c+!

Traffic is always bad and for no apparent reason.

Cabs are pretty affordable but have a minimum charge of 500rubbles.
