Australian owners Christopher King and Tommy Tang (Match .Made. In. Heaven!) named their Cafe after some dreamy town in New South Wales. Federal is the comfy bed you've being crying out for after a long day on your feet, just make sure you get there early or if like BarChick you’re still on English time this shouldn't be a problem. It's nice ‘n airy, with modern finished decor and if it’s hot out, then this is the perfect place to spend a long, lazy afternoon and you won't run short on what to order.

The Bloody Mary will soon sort out your nasty hangover, failing that there is Berocca on the menu (genius!) for all those who left theirs at home. Three floors of seating, including a sunny rooftop (rare unless you’re staying in a swanky hotel), mean that it's well worth the wait, and the large open windows allow you to spy on the beautiful folk down below. Filled with the hip and the hungry, Federal is what it's all about come Saturday and Sunday or even mid-week if you’re looking for one of the best coffees in town.
