Milk Bar

BARCHICK SAYS

Paul makes the magic happen here at Milk Bar. He and his wife Rebecca have been in Barcelona long enough to know their Sangria from Sangrita and have combined their powers to create their own perfection at Milk. Tucked away down a narrow alley in Barri Gotic (Gothic Quarter), Milk defines cosy, chilled and kitsch, particularly with that weird doll hanging from the ceiling. If you are feeling homesick, or the Catalan is doing your head in, come here to get you sh*t back together.

Open all day, they are proud of their brunches, which BarChick washed down with some damn fine tasty drinks. Go for the Champagne Charlie if you like things sweet, but if you have a long list of bars ahead of you like BarChick did then I’d opt for the Espresso Martini!

Like comics? then you’ll love the toilets here, just don’t stay in there too long on weekends, as this place gets packed! The crowd is a mix of locals, expats and tourists, they usually swarm in from Thursday through to the end of the weekend, but if you’re up for a laid back and calming visit plan your trip during the day mid week.
