Tucked into the corner of Plaza Real, yet another of Vicky and Cristina’s hangouts in the Woodie Allen flick, is Barcelona’s Pipe Club HQ. Guarded by a fiercer-than-he-is doorman you’ll just need an “I know what I’m doing” kinda look and you’ll be let on by. The staircase up is like any other residential block so you’ll feel more like you’re gate crashing a house party. The vibe is exactly that… there’s a snooker room, party room and corridors full of lounging locals and boozers. The central meeting spot of pipe puffers is also a jazz club/tango den.

Pipes and pictures of pipes hang on all the walls - this place has a real apartment feel to it so house party it out like a pro. The bar keeps it simple with mixers and beers, wine or shots.

Oh and word on Las Ramblas is that movie stars hit this place for a cool, quiet drink. Understated and just how we like it.
