The Bell Inn

BARCHICK SAYS

First things first, Johnny Depp used to drink here, regularly. Like our favourite old heart throb, this place is a bit tatty at first glance, but don’t give up, you’ve only got to look more closely to see that it’s part of The Bell’s authentic character and charm. Great music and an impressive plethora of local ales and ciders await you here, along with wines, spirits and pub grub. Alright, we’re in.

Situated in Bath’s Bohemian quarter, this place has a laid-back atmosphere and feels almost Parisian somehow. Chill outside under marquees and fairy lights, or hit up the Love Lounge for parties and jamming sessions, nice. If you’re more into board games than love (no judgment) check out the chess and backgammon or the table football and bar billiards, for a cooler look.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays see The Bell host an eclectic range of live music and open mic nights on Thursdays (will the real Slim Shady please stand up?). There’s nothing we don’t like about this place, and if it’s good enough for Johnny, then you’ll find us at the bar.
