Pearl Beach

BARCHICK SAYS

On the same stretch of pebble beach as Pierre & Friends next door, Pearl Beach is another great pit stop up Lebanon's northern coast. Away from the hustle and bustle of Beirut's hectic social scene (and traffic), with green mountains behind and the road zigzagging down to the beach, it has a more upmarket, less beach shack vibe than its famous neighbour. BarChick was pretty speechless (doesn’t happen too often)… it’s stunning. Bronzed bodies commandeer sunbeds along the shore, and diners check them out from high on the cliff above.

What really makes Pearl Beach extra special is the rock outcrop in the sea, which is linked to shore by a rickety bridge. Home to a lone fisherman in the winter months, in the summer tables, chairs and a fridge full of beer make this the perfect place to chill out with a few drinks before diving into the surrounding sea. Dreamy, BarChick will be back.
