John Muir

BARCHICK SAYS

Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive John Muir nestled amongst the bright neon lights of Skalitzerstraße and don’t get distracted by the dodgy shisha bars on the way, you’re here for a reason. Their cocktail menu changes with the seasons and is populated by interesting twists on classics and original cocktails made with a selection of homemade syrups and reductions.

Bulleit Bourbon features heavily alongside tequilas, gins and less known spirits. We tried a selection of colourful cocktails like Delusions of Grandeur, which was pickle-tastic, and Heidi Figginbottom made with a fig reduction. Who knows what'll be on offer when you swing by? The drinks on the menu are mostly long and not so strong but you can request a classic if you want something punchier.

Wondering who John Muir is, btw? This dude was an influential Scottish-American naturalist, aka the "Father of the National Parks". The vibe is kinda Brooklyn cool - exposed brickwork, chalkboards, hip crowd, you know the drill. The staff are super friendly though, there's no pretension here. There's also a good selection of guest DJs, and Mondays are all about beer, baby. Basically, whatever you're in the mood for, this place has you covered.
