An institution in the Copenhagen bar scene, K-Bar was one of the first places to open Danes eyes to the wonderful world of cocktails, thanks to the brilliant Kristen Holm. The focus is on fresh, seasonal, and bespoke mixes that go down a treat, with some interesting Asian ingredients thrown in.

Clean and classy, the monochrome colour scheme keeps the focus on what’s in your glass. The space is tiny, with less than 10 seats at the bar plus a little side lounge. Try to snag one of those limited bar stools to watch the serious craftsmanship on show here. We’re always a fan of their signature Lychee Martini: classic, fresh and just a little exotic. Keep an eye for guest bartenders too – many an interesting name ends up doing a shift behind the stick. It’s not the hotspot it once was, but it’s a grown up place for some cocktail appreciation.
