Tiki Bar and Kitsch Inn

Tiki Bar and Kitsch Inn

BARCHICK SAYS

Blink and you’ll miss it. Hidden downstairs on Bath Street, descend the stairs and enter this tropical paradise. With Polynesian masks, blowfish lamps, customised tiki mugs and enough foliage to get lost in, after a few Grogs, Glasgow will become a distant memory.

The cocktail menu ranges from tiki classics to Scottish twists on tropical flavours, the Auch Aye The Bru (geddit?) is a prime example. Unsurprisingly, drinks are fruity and sweet and after a few it'll all get a bit Club Tropicana, but whatevs. If you’re after something simpler stick to rums, spirits and beers. The barmen, easy on the eye and complete with good chat, are there to help / flirt with.

Most cocktails are 8 quid, but if you’re with mates get a 20 quid suitcase of booze. Big time ballers will want to order the Blingin’ Berry Punch for £111, it’s served in a shell bowl so totes worth it.

Hungry? The Kitsch Inn upstairs serves good Thai food and will sort you out, and when the nice weather hits, the busy sunken beer garden has got your back.
