Va Bene Disco Burger

BARCHICK SAYS

Va Bene Disco Burger is BarChick’s unsung Ibiza hero. Artlessly kitsch, this 1950s, American style diner is effortlessly self-assured; it’s been here for decades and didn’t even blink when McDonalds opened around the corner. A life size, wax-model waiter holding a giant burger stands loud and proud at the entrance, so that you know you’ve arrived.

Sporting an impressive collection of Americana, a giant TV and an old school bar, this isn’t the kind of joint usually associated with Spanish cuisine. They don’t fry anything here, so chips are off the menu but the grilled burgers, built like brick sh*t houses more than makes up for it. Using only the highest quality meat and fresh salad there’s something here for both guys and dolls, in case you were worried. Prop yourself up at the bar anytime (it’s open late) and kick back; there’s always sport on the box. Go for Amaretto (the vibe is right) or a bottle of Islena, Ibiza’s local brew. Low key, relaxed and inexpensive I’m sure we don’t have to point out how much of an excellent hangover hangout this place is.
