Sometimes, for no reason at all, a beer just tastes better than usual and this seems to happen at Köşe. Located on the buzzing street of Asmali Mescit, this banging little joint is one of our fave places in town for a crisp, cold pint of Efes, poured straight from the tap.

With beautiful mosaic tiles and huge windows, which open out completely onto the street, sitting on the sill and watching the world go by is one of Istanbul's great pleasures.

Check out the secret garden hidden at the back, which brings in the crowds during the summer months. Escape the heat and grab one of the tables under the shade of the hanging trees. Köşe is the ideal place to either start or wind-down the night.
