Predominantly a restaurant serving some of the city's best upmarket cuisine, Munferit has a bar well worth a look in its own right. Off a quiet side street, filled with other hip hangouts populated predominantly by locals, this place manages to pull off a happy medium between white tablecloth classiness and chilled out vibe.

Set over two levels in a wonderful old building in the heart of Beyoglu, Munferit has been decked out by Turkish designers (and general arbiters of cool) Autobahn. The look is 1940s retro with lots of wood panelling and huge mirrors.

The food is a modern take on mezze, but after dinner the tables are cleared to make way for a dance floor where you’ll often find the owner on the decks, respect. There’s a large outdoor garden, an extensive wine and cocktail list and great service to boot.
