Tucked away in a leafy corner of West London, if you’re looking for a stiff drink or a slap up meal then Charlotte’s is where it’s at. It’s got that neighbourhood bar kinda vibe that we love, and with its dimly lit interior complete with dark leather finishes it makes for the perfect low key hangout - their Bloody Marys are particularly good for ropey Sundays.

Park yourself at the bar or in one of the discreet booths, and hit the cocktails. The menu is modest, comprised of 8 cocktails that change monthly, and you’ll find seasonal twists on classics using locally sourced and homemade ingredients. Last time we found ourselves there propping up the bar it was the Rye, Rosie, Mary and Me that was our choice of poison, made with Rittenhouse Rye, rosemary cordial, maple syrup and black pepper. The guys here more than know their way around a bar so if you’re after something off menu then you’re in safe hands.

An absolute mecca for any lover of gin, they’ve got over 35 different types to choose from, and not a big brand in sight. Plus if you head down on Mondays you can brush up your mother’s ruin knowledge at their weekly gin school. Wine buffs you’re in luck too, they’ve got an off the beaten track selection from all over Europe. Hungry? Go for the buff bar snacks or enjoy a full meal at the bar; the head chef’s menu shouldn’t be missed.
