BARCHICK SAYS

Clapham’s hit the big time with this one; a cool dim sum den, cocktail bar and late-night party place hidden under the railway arches of Clapham High Street station. All moody lighting, oriental artwork and a painting of its Chinese master criminal namesake watching over you for the night, this is a killer mix of Victorian opium den meets graphic light installations.

If you’re doing booze properly, which in here you definitely should, take a seat at the bar and let the bartenders take you through their Asian inspired creations. Kick things off with their top-secret oriental grog, Manchu’s Mind Control and if you’re feeling brave/are on a hot date Fortune Favours the Bold includes aphrodisiacal bitters…. hello sexy.

The cocktails are banging but you’re also here for the dim sum and their authentic steamed dumplings are just what your belly ordered. Dance it off at Dim Sum Disco (a real thing) when the DJ kicks off around 10pm and get ready for a big one because this den doesn’t shut up shop ‘til 3am on weekends!
