Kings Mediterranean

BARCHICK SAYS

Situated close to Ping and Evans & Peel Detective Agency, Kings Mediterranean is an Earls Court institution, serving the locals their greasy late night fuel for well over a decade. What few people know is that the venue has a (somewhat) secret restaurant in the back of the shop where punters can rest their feet and enjoy booze and food until six in the morning.

The drinks list is sparse, bottled beers and wine, but with most of Chelsea closing by 2am, beggars can’t be choosers. The food menu is your standard kebab shop fare. We opted for vegetarian food to be on the safe side. Their hummus and pita was surprisingly fresh for three in the morning and helped soak up the Cobras we were drinking.

The staff are friendly and very relaxed (they let a guy sleep at his table for about two hours) and if you ask them nicely they’ll let you change the flat screen from MTV to anything on Sky.

The overall experience is like hanging out in front of the TV in your friend’s living room. A must for Westside drinkers who want to keep the party going and don't mind slumming it.
