Get drawn in by the bright pink neon light of Lardo. Richmond Road’s hangout is heaving with east siders who are drawn to this banging new pizza and charcuterie restaurant tucked within the neighbourhood. It’s an industrial chic open space, perch on the stools next the kitchen to catch some of the action (check out the disco ball wood fried oven. Amazing!) or wind down in the evening on the outside benches.

Just a heads up, don’t try to share the quail entrée, it’ll feel like you are fighting over the last chicken wing at Nando's. Lardo smashes out the pizzas, all with a perfect wood fried base and some serious cheesy goodness. Get involved with the gorgonzola, radicchio and walnut pizza, and get some drinks in. We loved their Negronis (although they went down a bit too well) and the prosecco that comes by the glass. Suck up some air con (and check out the art) on the way to the loos, which takes you through an exhibition space. Just make sure you bring cash as they’re working on the card machines…
