Princi

BARCHICK SAYS

Firstly the Greek waiter called me "my lady" all night, which is always novel, especially for an Italian hangout. Princi has been about for a while, and it’s always buzzing plus they make killer food, especially now they have a pizzeria there. It’s one of Alan Yau's creations, which automatically makes you think Asian, but no, this place is instead an Italian delight! It’s based on Rocco Princi, aka the "Armani of bread", who created the first Princi panetteria (we say bakery) in Milan back in '85, so he’s a good guy to base your place on.

It’s beautiful, slick, cool and laid back with some wicked features like the pizza oven, then there is the water feature all along one side, check it out, it’s pretty cool, kinda feng. Sit on the shared tables, or up high on the stools, come alone with a paper, do some work, or bring the whole family for some cakes. Whoever you bring will find something they like here, pizza, hot food, salad, coffee, some Italian vino, but what we love so much is the Italian apertivos, we love an Aperol Spritz, or sharing a bottle of Prosseco is perfect and very civilised (as are the bathrooms here too).

Go eat, drink, and be amazed by the architecture.
