Spuntino

BARCHICK SAYS

The perfect prelude to a wild night out in Soho.

It's hard to keep up with Russell Norman and all his hip hangouts. He's went all American on us when has opened the diner of all diners. Spuntino –  (‘little snack’ in Italian, although there ain't much Italian going on here) is bang smack in the middle of the sleazy part of Soho; easy to find as its the only place not offering you a peep show. The place looks great & like BarChick it’s small, sexy and could probably get a little naughty.

You can see that the boys have done their research well in Brooklyn, in the food as well as the fit-out.  You’ll find sliders, mac and cheese, soft shell crab and a legendary truffled egg toast, even cheesy Southern grits! If you're fattening up for a film role then you have to see it all off with a Nutella Pizzarette. Of course, BarChick was much more interested in the booze – and Spuntino has a tidy selection of cocktails most of which are a handily Spuntino size and Spuntino priced so you can work your way through a good selection.  Kick-off with a Sazerac – spray of absinthe, bitters & bourbon mixed in a vintage silver teapot.  The clover clubs are pink and delicious too.
