The Blue Bar at the Berkeley

BARCHICK SAYS

A lavish hotel with stunning restaurants deserves a bar as good as this.

Like BarChick, The Blue Bar is discreet and luxurious. It got a pimping refurb a few years back, and it's still got the hotel bar class it's known for, but after another lick of that iconic blue paint and a glass extension out to the side - hello private party -  it's looking fresh.  The cocktails are all executed flawlessly. The latest menu is Meta. Literally. Physically its mega gorge, with colour and layers, Tastewise, it's even better.  The wine list is one of the best in London, and as you’d expect, there’s more single malts than there are miserable people in Scotland. Don't forget the snacks, when a bar this sexy does sliders you know they're going to be special.  That is if you haven't already got through 3 mini carafes of their free truffled cashews of course. Probably best to avoid the blue bar if you’re saving money for a deposit on a house; it’s a bit of a wallet-buster.
