This hidden gem in Brixton can easily go unnoticed as everyone swarms the market, but once you discover it you’ll be going back for more. Courtesan is a dim sum and cocktail bar on Atlantic Road… it’s the bright red building, you won’t miss it.

As you enter you’ll see the bar on the left, it has pretty golden birdcages and antique cabinets filled with their booze selection, dim lights, wooden tables and distressed walls. There’s an Asian vibe in a good way, they’ve kept it nice n classy.

The menu is filled with so many choices it’s hard to pick from the amazing options. We loved the wasabi king prawn dumplings, deep fried soft shell crab dim sum and crocodile bites… why not?!

Cocktails here mix oriental flavours and teas with booze, and they’re all a little quirky. We were loving the Courtier with lapsang souchong tea, Glenlivet Whisky and chilli and fig liqueur, it was damn good. Oh and planning a party? They have a seriously cute candle lit downstairs area up for grabs with its own bar and seating areas, there isn’t even a minimum spend at the moment, what you waiting for?!
