Ever wanted to break out your disco dancing while downing world-class cocktails? Well, you’re in luck. The industry heavy-hitters behind Death + Co. (NYC) and The Varnish (L.A.) have brought you a wicked cocktail-driven disco-bar. Awesome!

It was one of the four finalists for Best American High Volume Cocktail Bar at Tales of the Cocktail 2014, and for good reason. Enter this cheeky spot through a back door in a downtown alleyway and behold 3000 square feet of good times. The basement bar is split into two areas: firstly, a very cushy, cosy speakeasy-style room with booth seating, low lighting and a pool table. The other room - obviously our favourite - has a disco ball-covered ceiling and a lit-up dance floor with some serious tunes from old school hip-hop to new school disco being pumped out.

Then there’s the drinks: these babies are perfect and will get you ready to hit the dance floor in no time. We loved the Windsor Knot (George Dickel Rye Whiskey, Pierre Ferrand 1840, Cynar, Dolin and Benedictine) or try one of the cocktails on tap, like the Candy’s Room (Gin, Lillet Rose, peach, lemon and ginger fizz). This place is a hot pants and glitter affair.
