BARCHICK SAYS

Everything good that has happened in Paris’ cocktail scene since 2007 started here. This was Romee de Goriainoff and Pierre-Charles Cros’ first ECC, now found world over, and they’re still smashing it. Hidden down a little alley, the vibe is naturally speakeasy; the windows and doors are draped in plush black curtains, and the interior is warm and welcoming, with exposed brick and a zinc bar – the look which has become so familiar these days. The room is tiny, so arrive early to snag a spot in the armchairs or by the old piano. The bartenders really know how to make a drink. It does what it says on the tin, so expect surprises. This is where to stray from your standard order.
