La Vue

BARCHICK SAYS

This place was recently bought out by Hyatt Hotels, so we're expecting some major changes soon. Right now, they've kept what was Hotel Concorde’s slightly O.T.T. 34th-floor panoramic Bar La Vue.  Sure, purples, pinks and reds usually can look a little garish but if they want to be flash, we’ll let them (yes that IS an 11,000 glass rod chandelier… naturally). Anyway, when you’re staring at the best view in town and sipping on fine cocktails you hardly notice it.  And when we say the best view in town we aren’t exaggerating, these windows are floor to ceiling - there won’t be a landmark you miss. The bar seats 180 so don’t worry about getting a seat, but maybe ring ahead to make sure you get the best in the house. Stephen Martin has sorted out an innovative drinks menu and international bites to keep everyone and anyone happy… enjoy.
