Silencio

BARCHICK SAYS

When master director of the strange and wonderful, David Lynch, decides to open a night club, you know it’s going to be something special. Everything has been designed and approved by the man himself, from the thousands of gold mandalas in the entry hallway to the perfect amount of salt on the bar snacks.

Head down the six flights of dimly lit stairs to this den of glamour. A fun mix of artists, music types and off-duty bartenders sipping expertly-made Negronis and dancing to perfectly-curated electro, indie and surprise tunes, while actually looking like they’re enjoying themselves - unlike most of the clubs in Paris. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch super under the radar performances by some of the biggest names in the biz.

Before midnight, Silencio is a members club with a steep fee, but the party doesn’t get going until 1am anyway. Just dress the part and play nice. This is the type of place you’ll come staggering out of when it closes at 6am, wondering what beautiful rabbit hole you just emerged from. Oh yeah, and there’s no sign. Because that would just be too easy.
