Translated literally Bar Do Lado means ‘The Side Bar,’ which is exactly what it is. Located on the side of the Cosmopolitan Marina All Suites Hotel, this place has a sweet Mediterranean feel to it. The large outside area is decorated with comfy sofas and brightly colored cushions.

The bar inside is small and acts as the hotel bar, serving simple snacks and nibbles including mini hamburgers, salads and spring rolls, watch out for the purple aubergine walls. During the week it’s chilled but with a good influx of hotel guests and Leblon locals. At the weekend try squeeze yourself on the cozy sofas outside with Rio’s youngest and funnest, you’ll have a hoot and it’s always busy. The bar serves beers, spirits and Caipirinhas, natch.
