Fancy a stroll down the sex street Rua Augusta? Of course you do, that’s where you’ll find Z Carniceria. Previously a butcher’s bar you’ll be met by two meat cleavers on the door here… don’t be alarmed.

White tiled walls are covered in more cleavers, bones (uh, nice?) and an ironic mural of farmland (better). The neon lit bar gives life to the eerie room but you can still make out an array of horns, heads and guns (Jesus Christ). This place isn’t for the faint-hearted, or the vegetarian.

The drinks are butcher themed too; go for a Mad Butcher (vodka, peach liqueur, passion fruit and Tabasco) or a Sirloin Passion (vodka, Martini Blanco, almond syrup and passion fruit).
Tattooed men and women hang here listening to old-school rock while eating steak, join them if you need some iron in your diet.

Surprisingly this bar feels quite sexy, we’re hoping it’s because of its close proximity to the surrounding strip clubs, as opposed to the raw meat, but whatevs, we’re into it.
