The Beresford Hotel is nicely tucked away in the Surry Hills and is popular with the city slickers and the cool cats. It doesn't look much from the outside but once you’re in, that’s it, you ain’t going nowhere fast. Modern Italian trattoria stroke neighbourhood pub, the atmosphere is cool and casual and the garden is up there with the best of them.

The cocktail list is impressive, BarChick got in a round of sharing cocktails and got well and truly stuck in. Big up the outdoors and do order a Secret Garden (serves 4), it’s a floral infusion of St Germain, lychees, apple and lemon juice topped with rosé and lengthened with lemonade and soda water, it’s damn tasty. Having said that if you’re feeling fruity go for one of the signature cocktails like the Ghettoblaster with Belvedere citrus vodka, Cointreau, Creme de Peche liqueur, cloudy apple juice and passion fruit on the rocks.

The Beresford’s got it all with a vast Italian menu along with some healthy options if you’re watching your ass, if you’re not then go for the grilled 400g rib eye steak with hand cut potato wedges and rocket leaves.

It's the perfect place for after work drinks, a cheeky lunch time drink or a first date.
