The Rook Bar

BARCHICK SAYS

Enter this place on the 7th floor of what appears to be an office building, but chill out, no spreadsheets in here. This is one of the Key Stone group’s newest ventures, and it’s pretty damn cool.

Although described as a rooftop bar The Rook is actually enclosed, more like a conservatory or some kinda garden. There are plants everywhere and the candles and graffiti make the place feel pretty urban, baby. Word on the street is that the roof will soon be retractable, so you can bev it up on the 7th floor under the stars.

The playful cocktail list is featured on chalkboards above the bar, we drank Fear and Loathing ‘cos we're mad for mescal and this bad boy is all mescal, grapefruit and cherry liquers, yum. Definitely get your drink involved in their giant ice balls - they're mega.

The bar staff are friendly, the clientele hot and the music upbeat and lively. The Rook is awesome, inside or outside? Eating or drinking? Dancing or chilling? The choice my friend is all yours.
