EL CAMION

BarChick rarely remembers leaving this place, and even her modest of mates are dancing on the table until 3am. Head down the stairs of El Camion into the "members bar" Baja Rooms/The Pink Chihuahua (sometimes referred to as Dick’s Bar as the late cocktail master Dick Bradsell ran this joint). These guys do them over rocks, straight up, frozen, with or without salt, you name it they do it but ALWAYS with fresh pressed lime juice to ensure the best quality. We’ll take 12 please. 25 – 27 Brewer Street, London W1F 0RR elcamion

CASITA

This bar is small (we mean minuscule), but perfectly formed, kind of like a cocktail shed rather than a bar (their words not ours). Usually brimming with industry people wanting a good time, this is a booze diamond in the rough. The drinks of choice are basically beer or tequila, so naturally they’re pretty good at making Margaritas. Go for a Tommy’s and make some friends, you’ll probably forget their names by the morning but you can head back the next day and do it all over again. 5 Ravey Street, London, EC2A 4QW

EL NIVEL

A more refined Margarita bar. Forget the sombreros, cheesy nachos and party vibes, make your way up the stairs to the side of La Perla and enter this laid back lounge bar. With small plates of Mexican inspired dishes, a strong tequila and mezcal selection, plus a strong menu of signature drinks, this place gives a bit of class to the usual party mayhem we relate to this drink of choice. Get their Mulato Margarita made with Maestro Dobel, fresh lime and white crème de cacao with a chipotle salt & cacao sugar rim... it is ON the money! 28 Maiden Lane, London, WC2E 7JS  el.nivel.int

CAFÉ PACIFICO

Opened back in 1982 by the legend that is Tomas Estes, this Mexican is still true to its roots with its authentic décor. With literally HUNDREDS of tequilas on offer it’s safe to say your Margaritas can be as show stopping as you or your wallet allows. Or, if you’re still waiting for payday then head down at lunchtime and you can enjoy an Ocho Margarita for just £6.50 which taste equally as awesome as dabbling with the top dog pours. 5 Langley Street, London WC2H 9JA

CRAZY HOMIES

Every day is Cinco De Mayo here 'cos tequilas, tacos and good times are free flowing. They've got more than 40 types of tequila and mezcal and damn they know how to use it. Like to keep it fresh? They've got an ever-changing range of eight different margaritas. This place doesn’t take itself too seriously – and neither should you.
