Bank Holiday boozing in Manchester

Manchester’s going all carnival this weekend with the return of one of the UK’s biggest parties, Manchester Pride, plus loads of tropical parties at our favourite bars. Brace yourself Manchester, it’s gonna be a big one.

Manchester Pride Big Weekend

One of the biggest parties in the UK, Manchester Pride will take place this Bank Holiday set across various locations through the town centre. There’ll be live entertainment in the main arena on Sackville Street with performances from The Feeling, Sam Sparro, Kate Nash, Rylan and the original Sugababes lineup.. old school. Plus there’ll be a village market all weekend full of food and clothing and a couple of naughtier stalls, x-rated baby!

On Saturday it’s carnival time as the yearly parade hits town. This year’s theme is “Acceptable in the 80s” so expect a sea of legwarmers and fingerless gloves.

In it for the night? Hit the Gaydio dance arena 7pm til midnight each evening with local DJs and some special guests… party.

Caribbean Club at Black Dog NWS

After work on Friday head straight over to Black Dog NWS. They’re holding a Caribbean BBQ on their roof terrace from 5-9pm, and with a 3 day holiday you’re gonna need to line your stomach, plus it’s free! Wash it all down with one of their tropical cocktails and jam to the live steel band… are we on holiday?!

Continuing with the carnival feel this Bank Holiday, Heaton Park is gonna get all Indian with they’re take on

Mojito Garden Party at The Liars Club

The Liars Club is taking things outside with their tropical Mojito Garden Party. The guys have teamed up with Havana to party Cuban style! There’ll be loads of live music and a Cuban style BBQ in the square. Fancy yourself as a bit of a bartender?! Get involved, they’ll let you make your own using the Havana Club Rum, fresh mint and lime. When the sun goes in it’s party time in The Liars Club until 4am…

Spin Fest at The Oast House

For some chilled boozing this weekend head to the Oast House and unwind with some beer and blues. There’ll be live music all day for a proper Sunday session so grab a seat on the wooden benches, relax and work your way through the huge selection of beers, ales and wines on offer.

The Lock In at The Alchemist

If you’re still in the party mood on Sunday evening the Alchemist is definitely where it’s at.
