Set in an 18thCentury weaver’s house on Fournier Street, the Disappearing Dining Club are up to their old tricks, throwing dinner parties for those in the know in unusual London locations. And the Town House is just that – the building has housed a doctor’s surgery, a furrier, a storage space for a vegetable market, coffee rooms and up until 2000 it was home to the much-loved Market Café.
The dinner will be served supper club style in either the basement tea rooms or the downstairs antique shop. You’ll be crammed between ad hoc vintage china and glassware, antique furniture and upholstery and locally sourced artefacts, so be prepared to get friendly with your fellow diners.
The food as per is set to be mega, think Dorset crab on toast with pea shoots and curried pickles, duck two ways with saffron potatoes and spiced braised cabbage and chocolate tart with salted caramel popcorn parfait. Yes please.
