London Rooftop Hangouts You Need in Your Life This Summer

We’ve been climbing stairs, dodging lift queues, and sipping spritzes at altitude to find the freshest sky-high spots.

Sunshine in London? Stranger things have happened, but we’re not questioning it. We're chasing the rays, the rosé, and the rooftop vibes so whether you’re here for the panoramic city views or just a decent tan and a Negroni here are 10 rooftop bars that are hot, high, and happening right now.

Flute, Soho

6th Floor, 33 Broadwick St, W1F 0DQ
The new rooftop atop the Broadwick Soho is all about dolce vita decadence. Expect plush striped banquettes, retro lighting, and a big Italian mood with a champagne menu to match. It’s a scene – full of creative couples, polished media types, and groups who only order martinis (guilty).

Drink to order: Franciacorta Brut or the signature “Flute 75” – Champagne + Limoncello + flex
Food hit: Crispy artichokes with parmesan or the mortadella sliders

Florattica, Aldgate

11-15 Minories, EC3N 1AX
If Barbie had a City job and excellent taste in cocktails, she’d drink here. Florattica is draped in faux florals and soft pinks, with wraparound views of the Gherkin and good vibes only. Expect post-work finance crews, high-maintenance girl groups, and a few glam tourists who booked “rooftop cocktails” before they even landed.

Drink to order: Jasmine Paloma – zesty, floral, with just enough tequila.
Food hit: Tempura prawns and truffle fries. Don’t overthink it.

The Berkeley Rooftop Bar, Knightsbridge

The Berkeley Hotel, Wilton Pl, SW1X 7RL
Luxe poolside escape above Knightsbridge—now open to the public for summer evenings. Nice.  Picture Capri-meets‑Knightsbridge with Mediterranean sips, striped umbrellas and the real-deal crowd.  Might want to flex the plastic for this one, worth it for that poolside sip though right?

Drink to order:  Pool Party (Campari, Chambord, rhubarb, strawberry bitters + soda). FRESH.
Food hit: Burrata & tomato bruschetta, pizzas from the rooftop oven, tiger prawns, and more

The Culpeper Greenhouse, Spitalfields

40 Commercial St, E1 6LP
This one’s for the low-key rooftop lovers. A working greenhouse filled with edible plants, rustic wood furniture, and actual bees (don’t worry, they’re chill). The cocktails are sustainable, the food is fresh as it gets and you're right in the heart of it here so perfect when you want to escape the madness below.

Drink to order: Garden Gimlet with rooftop-grown herbs.
Food hit: The mushroom & lentil scotch egg. Surprisingly elite.

You’ll spot stylish locals, low-key influencers, and a few linen-clad dates pretending they’re in Lisbon.

Drink to order: Sangria Blanco with peaches and mint.
Food hit: Chargrilled prawns and oysters on ice.

AMANO Rooftop Bar, Covent Garden

Drury House, 34-43 Russell St, WC2B 5HA
Fresh from Berlin and feeling itself, AMANO is dark, sexy, and more cocktail lounge than rooftop pub. Think skyline views with a bassline – low lights, strong drinks, and good hair everywhere. The crowd is Euro-chic and date-ready, with a few edgy tourists who’ve accidentally nailed the look.

Drink to order: AMANO Spritz – citrusy, bitter, and beautiful.
Food hit: Lamb cigars with harissa dip. Addictive little devils.

Aviary, Finsbury Square

22-25 Finsbury Square, EC2A 1DX

The Rooftop at The Standard, King’s Cross

10 Argyle St, WC1H 8EG
This isn’t a rooftop – it’s a rooftop party. Music, tacos, and tequila are the order of the day (and night). A buzzing playground for stylists, DJs, and anyone wearing something oversized and fabulous.

Drink to order: Mezcal Paloma – sharp, smoky, and dangerously drinkable.
Food hit: Tostadas, guac, and enough hot sauce to ruin your mascara.
