Sure we love the latest molecular 'don’t try this at home' cocktail.. but sometimes it's nice to be able to make these things and which home doesn't have Schweppes in the cupboards? Exactly.
Thought Schweppes was all about those mini cans of tonic? It is, but it’s also about their awesome new range of Schweppes Sparkling Juice Drinks (low-cal, summer win). Oh and ours is a Blood Orange and Grapefruit if you’re buying. These aren’t just for serving up to uncle sober, they’re kick-ass in cocktails too and now you can make ‘em. Check it:
Southsea Beach Burst - created by Sophy Roseaman at Three Cocktail Bar

Schweppes Garden Party by Lewis Marshall at The Anchor Line
Who doesn’t love a sipping a spritz in the summer? Exactly. Fresh fat berries, a hint of berry liqueur, Sauvignon Blanc (en vogue) and topped up with Schweppes Sparkling Lemon and Elderflower Juice Drink. It’s so simple yet so effective. We’re ordering them in our local and getting behind the bar to show them how it’s done.

Chilli Sunrise by Karol Terejlis at Baltic Bar
Pow, this one has a kick. That’ll be the home infused chilli vodka - one of over 100 that Karol plays around with. It’s got all the balancing acts that a cocktail should have - bitterness from the grapefruit and lemon, sweetness from the syrup, texture from the egg white and it’s kept fresh with the Schweppes Grapefruit and Blood Orange Juice Drink. Nice one. You can make your own infusions by locking up something real tight in a glass bottle full of vodka and putting it through the dishwasher, apparently it was all the rage in the nineties.
What’s in it? Home-infused Chilli Vodka, Grapefruit Vodka, Fresh lemon, Gum Syrup, Egg White, Schweppes Grapefruit and Blood Orange Juice Drink
Garnish: Grapefruit Peel
