Everyone’s doing it! Skyfall is turning out to be one of the most successful movies in the UK/world, like, ever. Everyone either fancies Bond or wants to be Bond, and as of now you can drink like Bond ( like all that product placement didn't give it away). That’s right, you can order the official Skyfall cocktail at The Savoy. Head Barman Erik Lorincz (Diageo World Class winner 2010) was hired as cocktail consultant on Skyfall, his creation Vesper Martini was served at the premiere, and his very own gold cocktail shaker was used in the film! BOOM.
Served in the historic American Bar, and made with with Ketel One Vodka, Tanqueray No. Ten, Cocchi Americana, plum wine and Yuzu juice, this bad boy is shaken… not stirred. He decided to modernise it a little to suit today’s palate, making it a little sweeter, just like BarChick. He decided to use ingredients from countries that the film was shot in, like the homemade Turkish syrup made with basil and oregano. The Japanese Yuzu was amazing, take our word for it.
This drink is getting ordered by the dozen and is proving damn popular. When BarChick went to have a try we were sat next to an American girl who had come straight from the cinema. She said she was offered it before but wouldn’t drink it until having seen the movie…bit OTT but she seemed happy.

25ml Ketel One vodka
25ml Tanqueray No. TEN
15ml Cocchi Americano
10ml plum wine
15ml lemon juice
10ml Yuzu juice
15ml sugar syrup
METHOD: Shake all the ingredients and strain into a deep Champagne coupette. Place a lump of ice into the drink and serve.
