Big Easy

Miami Vice

One of BarChick’s favourite ever drinks (guilty) the Miami Vice is the pimp daddy of the slushies. Head down to the Big Easy’s Shelter Bar for a frozen Pina Colada on top of a slushy Strawberry Daiquiri. Double trouble.

House Margarita

Serving ice cold, slushy booze straight from an Ugolini Italian Granita machine, these badass Margaritas come served more retro than your Dad’s tie collection. Both the original Dalston branch and the brand new Boxpark place serve the House Margarita, but head to Dalston for gin, ginger and rhubarb flavour, or go see what special seasonal ingredients they're using over at the latter for a boozy slushie surprise.

In a disused petrol station not far from BarChick HQ we found not one but a motherfreakin' a trio of slushies. Take you're pick from the Pornstar, Margarita or Mojito.  We're in to the Mojito with real fresh bits o mint in it and the takeaway glass comes with a tiki umbrella... who needs a coffee to go when you can have one of these.

An icy twist on a Junebug, with Wray & Nephew’s, melon, banana and coconut liqueurs, pineapple juice and coconut water all served up with a fernet branca sherbert rim. This may be the sweetest, most refreshing drink in East.

Miami Vice

The best (...only) way to drink a killer boozy slushy really is up on a rooftop terrace, so get over to Aqua and order up a tall glass of Miami Vice. It’s a guilty pleasure in a glass; half Pina, half Daquari, a whole lot of boozy goodness.
