The Great British Summer at The Old Queen's Head

In celebration of all things British, last year the Old Queen’s Head transformed itself into an old English fairground, but this year they’re going all out and turning themselves into… a beach! Dig out your bucket and spade on the 23rd and get involved. There’ll be deck chairs, arm wrestling (wouldn’t be a party without it) and even a token donkey, so don’t make an ass out of yourself in front of it.

Play lawn games on the indoor lawn (rain no worries), apple bob in cider (sticky) and tuck into some delicious summery food. The lawn will stay put for the duration of Wimbledon commencing the following day, so if you consider yourself to be quintessentially British then pop down for croquet, boules and of course Pimm’s and strawberries.

Ice creams, BBQ, folk music, comedy… we’re game.
