The Pestini

Pine nuts and parmesan cheese are not ingredients you usually see on cocktail menus, but it's the 150th birthday of the first recorded pesto recipe, so without further adieu we present to you..... The Pestini! A unique Hendrick's Gin based cocktail with notes of basil, citrus and nuttiness, The Pestini is the tastiest way to get into the Italian spirit. The Pestini

  • 40ml Hendrick's Gin
  • 30ml Limoncello
  • 5ml specially made pine nut syrup
  • Splash of lemon juice to taste
  • Dash of basil infused water
  • Fresh basil to garnish
  • Crunchy Parmesan and Basil Crisp Garnish:
  • 24-month aged Parmesan, grated
  • Finely chopped fresh basil

 

Spread the parmesan and basil over a baking sheet lined with greaseproof paper and bake until golden.
