For such a seemingly simple, clear spirit, Vodka can get pretty complicated. Should you buy quadruple distilled or unfiltered, potato or grain, Polish or Russian, Puff Daddy's or Dan Aykroyd's? Now it seems there are more ridiculous flavours hitting the shelves than ever. Good thing? Bad thing? Well, whatever your tipple, some may pleasantly surprise you, whilst others will disgust you…
What could have ended up tasting like children's cough syrup is actually kinda smooth n' tasty, think sweet milk chocolate and fresh, tangy raspberries, we say drink it with soda and garnish with fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint. Or give it to an 18 year old, who'll more than likely love it.
Ciroc gets it's smoothness from Puff Daddy, and of course the French grapes it's distilled from. The coconut flavour is subtle, we like it with pineapple juice in a vodka based Piña Colada. Not so hip hop though, Puffy.
It's no longer necessary to forage around in the woods for your truffle fix - Black Moth's Truffle Vodka is 100% British (made in London baby), distilled from grain and infused with French truffles. It is earthy and mushroomy and smooth and perfect for a truffled twist on a dirty martini, with vermouth, olive brine and a splash of balsamic vinegar. It was never gonna be cheap though was it?
Smirnoff have been around for 150 years, but that doesn't stop them from jumping on the new flavour bandwagon. A word of warning: this stuff is so sweet and girly, guys need to forget about their balls just to buy a bottle. But if roasting marshmallows over a campfire is your thing, then maybe this is the one for you!
Another confectionery classic offering from Smirnoff, the Whipped Cream flavour is like a sip of liquid sugar with an alcohol bite. Sadly this is one whipped cream product that you can't lick off your loved one. Although you could bathe them in it....or not.
If you just can't get enough of those pickles on your burger, try Naked Jay's Dill Pickle flavoured vodka instead. It's green, it's from Virginia and it kinda tastes like the leftover brine at the bottom of the pickle jar, yum? We say skip their cringely named 'Dill-tini', and use it for vodka based pickle-back shots instead. Nice.

Ever wished you could drink a sandwich? We're not talking some kinda slim fast plan. Oh no, Dutch vodka brand Van Gogh are known for their wacky flavours, and this one captures an American childhood favourite. The flavour is, thankfully, dominated by raspberry, not peanut butter. Mix it with Disaronno and serve on ice to recreate that PB&J spread on a cracker sensation. Possibly one for those Americans, and not us.

Drink at your own risk! This is eye watering, fiery, and kinda burning! Twice as hot as tabasco and hotter than law enforcement grade pepper spray. It is not advised as a shot, unless you're hanging with Jonny Knoxville, or some kind of Stag do nutters. It's safest diluted with tomato juice in a spicy Bloody Mary. You have been warned.
... If you’re thinking that sounds easy then we dare you to try their newest vodka 250,000 Scovilles….. yeh, didn’t think so.
According to the makers of Cupcake Vodka, it's a naturally flavoured, super premium vodka with no added sweeteners. Launched last year, it's for sweet tooths only and comes in Devil's Food and Frosting flavours too. Get your sugar fix with half the calories.
US only, no surprise there!
That bunch of flavour heads are also behind Three Olives Vodka and have come out with a new brand, Pinnacle is a French Vodka with an array of oddball flavours like Root Beer, Butterscotch, Fruit Punch and Cherry Lemonade. Somehow they've also managed to perfectly replicate the flavour of candy floss (aka cotton candy). Best enjoyed chilled in a pink glass with fairy lights.

Coming out of Russia, Sputnik's Rose Vodka tastes of Turkish Delight, rosewater and aniseed. The perfect gift for more feminine boozers? We'd prefer real roses thanks.
Those flavour loving guys at Three Olives have done it again, this time they've made our lives easier by combining vodka with root beer flavouring. We say pour it over ice cream for a root beer float, big-kid style. Produced and distilled in the UK, but more popular in the sweet-toothed states, obvs.
Bacon makes everything better... That was Elvis' motto anyway. The bacon craze has produced all kinds of oddball piggy products - bacon coffins, bacon flavoured envelopes, lip balm, soda, even lube! Now there's a Bacon flavoured potato vodka from Idaho. We like it in a spicy Bloody Mary with a garnish of crispy pancetta. Yes please.
Arguably the strangest thing to come out of Wasilla, Alaska since Sarah Palin. Alaska Distillery's Smoked Salmon is a premium vodka made from glacier ice, infused with smoked fish. Luckily the main flavour is smoke. We say use it in your Bloody Mary, or in a shot glass with a wedge of lemon, drop of tabasco and an oyster. Still sounds a little fishy... ha!
