Where to Drink During Fashion Week 2014

NEW YORKSeptember 4th - 11th

The fash pack are kicking things off in NYC, if you fancy hooking up with a model then get yourself to these hot spots: Spotted Pig Big on the brunch scene, the Spotted Pig is a favourite among the fash pack. Look for cluttered pots of plants, bright flowers and a little spotted pig hanging over the door, and you’ve found April Bloomfield & Ken Friedman’s gastronomic tavern. With two floors of wallpaper, mismatched chairs and shoestring fries. They get busy but just drop your digits off with the host and head around the corner to another bar while you wait. 314 W. 11th Street at Greenwich Street, New York, NY FW.SpottedPig   Le Baron China Town Owned by the street artist, André Saraiva, whose top hat-wearing graffiti character is infamous in NY, the vibe is shabby chic, naturally. This place has the house party vibe down to a ‘T’; bump and grind on the dance floor, bottle of Jack in your hand, no one will bat an eyelid. Kate Moss parties here during Fashion Week so you should too. 32 Mulberry St New York, NY 10013 Bathtub Gin If you’re perusing shows in Upper West Chelsea make your way to this speakeasy-esque bar with a copper bathtub slap bang in the middle of the room (in reference to gin production back in the day). There’s no water (or bubbles) inside it, but whatevs, maybe they’ll fill it with booze for a special occasion. To find it look for Stone Street Coffee Company on an unsuspecting street in Chelsea, but first you’ll need to pass the bouncers pretty easy selection routine before being pointed through a door at the back of the coffee shop and into the bar. 132 9th Ave, New York, NY 10011 FW.BathtubGin7

LONDON - September 12th - 16th

Join Kate, Cara and the rest of the crew in these hot hangouts and don't forget to check out BarChick's Official LFW Guide: Chiltern Firehouse It’s fair to assume that people are going to be clambering over themselves to get a chunk of the Chiltern Firehouse chaos this season. Less about being waitlisted for a table and more about finding a way into the hotel bar The Ladder Shed. Cocktails here are every bit as chic as the ‘it’ crowd that chuck them back. Sass up, slim down and get your game face on. Getting in here will make you the champion of good chat. 1 Chiltern Street, London W1U 7PA HuffPoChiltern The Punch Room at the Edition Birthed by the legend who brought us Studio 54, The Edition Hotel has fast become the go-to for Fashion Week after parties. Wondering what to do with all those bottles of booze you keep finding in your goody bags? Bring them to The Punch Room and watch the bartenders make them into something ridiculous. Dress up, go large and do it like Naomi Campbell did it; throw your fur to the floor and strut right in. 10 Berners Street, London W1T 3NP Artesian at The Langham The Langham Hotel’s award winning cocktail bar is a stunningly chic affair dipped in oriental décor and well-heeled guests. The cocktail list changes annually and this year it’s all about vegetable juice, of course. Expect garnishes in the form of flaming sticks of sandalwood and swap glassware for golden pineapples and vintage Czech vessels, it’s difficult not to be fabulous here. 1C Portland Place, London W1B 1JA HuffPoArtesian

MILANSeptember 17th - 23rd

Everyone knows that the Italians are the chicest of them all, here are the best bars to check them out in, cocktail in hand of course: Aperol Bar If you’re looking for the perfect pit stop in between shows then this is your place. With one of the world’s largest Gothic cathedrals for company you can catch some rays while upping your architecture knowledge at the same time. Position yourself well and kick back with one of their cocktails, as expected the menu is heavy on the Aperol… nothing like a spritz to get you feeling fabulous again. Piazza Duomo Lato Destro Galleria, Milan, Italy FW.Aperolbar Club 1930 For those who like to see and not be seen. This cocktail club is one of the most secretive of places, head to Mag Café for your invite and ask nicely… they only let their favourites in. It’s got that cool apartment feel to it and the same high quality drinks that we’ve seen in some of the best hotel bars in London. Love what you drink? They have a cocktail book for you to buy with all their recipes. Sold! Secret Location The Doping Club If you’re into your outlandish outfits and quirky additions then you’re going to love The Doping Club. PARISSeptember 23rd - October 1st

Gay Parieee is at its most fabulous during Fashion Week dah-ling. Here’s where to toast it: Le Ballroom Du Beef If looking at Fashion Week’s stick thin models makes you feel like you could eat a horse, then head here for a steak-fuelled dinner. No need to go anywhere else, the basement speakeasy style cocktail bar is where the party’s at. Head down the spiral staircase to a dungeon of guys fist-pumping bottles of Bolly at tables, and hot hipsters getting down to the beats. Plus with only eight cocktails on the list you might as well try them all. 53 Rue Jean Jacques Rousseau, Paris, 75001 FW.BallroomduBeef Sherry Butt The chick behind this hot warehouse style bar is Irish, and so their whisky list is mega. Let her guide you through a whisky flight and ask questions to your heart’s content, she won’t falter. If you’re not a fan the cocktail list is mega, rotating and will surprise and delight. Drinks aside this is the place to dance the night away when Vogue’s in town, it feels like an awesome house party and we’re all over it. 20 Rue Beautreillis, Paris, 75004 Experimental Cocktail Club There’s no doubt that these guys pave the way when it comes to drinking with the cool kids, so try and blag your way in. Push past the velvet curtain and into this speakeasy style bar, it’s pretty tiny so be prepared to get up close and personal with your fellow drinkers. Kick back like a king in an armchair or slink across the piano, these guys make a mean drink so you better dress up to prove you’re worthy. 37 rue Saint-Sauveur 2e Paris FW.ECCParis
