From the classic oyster shucking (hello libido) to kinky underground bars, we got this.
TT Liquor -Take your date by the hand and lead her down the path to debauchery in Hoxton's sexiest speakeasy (surely you’ll get points for the postcode?). The drinks are strong but refined to calm those nerves and pretty much everyone looks smoking in that low lighting; it’s in the bag.
17B Kingsland Rd, Hackney, London E2 8AA
The Gibson - If she's specific about her serves, take her to The Gibson. The bar is a bit of a time machine and through the selection of your drink, you are in control of your destination. Who knows where the might take you! It’s small, with a 40 seater max and even less when there’s a live band jammin’ in the corner, but well worth cramming in for. Kick off with the classic this place is named after: they’ve given The Gibson a twist by serving it up in an ice cold stainless steel Martini glass. Our bets? She'll be in love by the time she reaches the booze-soaked hazelnuts at the bottom.
44 Old Street, EC1V 9AQ
Azteca - A first date needs to be fun and what’s more fun that tequila? Not much. This bar is a fun-filled classic, with good beats, sombreros and a damn fine tequila selection. Hit the Margaritas, the shots and the sharing cocktails, and hey presto… you’ll be dancing on the tables together in no time.
329 Kings Road, London SW3 5ES
The Connaught - These girls know how to have a good time, and are rumoured to be wilder than most - so you need to impress. The Connaught’s Martini trolley is where this party’s at. Classic, classy and straight to the point, may as well start as you mean to go on. (Take all your money; you’ll need it all and more in here).
Carlos Place, Mayfair, London W1K 2AL
The London Cocktail Club Oxford Circus - There’s nothing worse than having no money and no honey. LCC’S got your back with their happy hour - 2 for £12 baby. The drinks are epic, there’s a whole lotta rum and big tunes (if you run out of things to talk about you can get close with a dance instead) so get in a load before 7 and you’re golden.
4 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 8PA
Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels - She ain’t happy with a bottle of Savvy Blanc at your local so you need to step up your game. Walk into this wine joint and your date will already be eating out of the palm of your hand. With hundreds (over 400) bottles to work through and delicious food to keep you up-right, this is how to do date night right.
8-10 Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9DP
Palomar - Whisk her to Israel / Morocco by perching up at this shiny food bar. With loud music, people hustling and bustling and chefs having fun, this is one party you’ll want in on. The food is up there with the best BarChick’s ever put in her mouth - think deconstructed kebabs, pork belly tagine, Jerusalem style polenta and some tequila fuelled Palomars to wash it all down with. She’ll be begging you to feed her more.
34 Rupert Street, London W1D 6DN
The Dairy - epic British-style small plates that literally melt in the mouth - go for the tasting menu 'cause you're gunna want to try everything. Paired up with some totally awesome cocktails, she'll be making all sorts of sounds before you've even hailed your Uber home.
15 The Pavement, Clapham Old town, SW4 0HY
Hawksmoor - BarChick dreams about Hawksmoor and all their juicy red meat, hunky bone marrow and sexy cocktails. But you’ve gotta be serious about the girl to take her here, it’s too good to waste on some amateur. A good way to see if she can handle her meat; order up a massive t-bone steak and loads of sides like bone marrow and mac 'n' cheese and see how she does. P.S The bar at Spitalfields is epic, check it out - she'll be seriously impressed.
Various locations: 157a Commercial Street, London E1 6BJ / 10 Basinghall Street, EC2V 5BQ 11 / Langley Street, WC2H 9JG 5 Air Street, Piccadilly, W1J 0AD
Wright Brothers Soho - Wanna shuck? Hit those oysters and pop the bubbly. Those aphrodisiacs might be obvious but they work apparently, so it’s worth a shot. Wright Brothers is the best place in London for an oyster fix so book in up at the bar or go all out and get into the lobster cage. Maybe she's your lobster?
Wright Brothers, Kingly Street, London W1B 5PW
Slim Jim’s Liquor Store - A dark and dirty American dive bar that knows how to party. Beers, bourbon and a LOT of bras on the ceiling. If she hands over her underwear she’ll get a free drink. The next move is up to you.
112 Upper St, London, N1 1NQ
The Beaufort Bar at The Savoy - Really wanna impress? Then dress up, pick up some flowers and get through the doors of The Savoy and straight into the beautiful Beaufort Bar. Order a few of their epic cocktails, enjoy the live jazz band soundtrack, look lovingly into her eyes and the rest, as they say, is history. If she’s not leaping into your arms by the end of the night then she ain't the one for you.
The Savoy Hotel, 189 Strand, London, WC2R 0EU
La Bodega Negra - Want to turn it up a notch? Soho’s the place to do it - walk along Brewer street and she’ll be feeling naughty by the time you sit down. Start on the tequila cocktails to get her warmed up; BarChick’s kinda aphrodisiac. Going well? There’s a secret exit out through a sex shop so you might as well stop by; handcuffs at the ready - you’re in for a good night.
16 Moor Street, London, W1D 5NH
East London Liquor Company - It’s near the park so hit this place after a bit of fresh air. It’s bright and airy with simple decor and a lot of class. Smack bang behind the bar you’ll see some big and beautiful copper stills which are busy churning out the vodka, gin and whisky that you’re about to get stuck into. Get on a tour and start tasting, and don’t worry, there’s grilled cheese sandwiches on offer to keep you upright.
221 Grove Road, Bow Wharf, London, E3 5SN
Breakfast in bed at Brew - They do breakfast in bed here so you’ll get her right where you want her before you’ve even settled the bill. Kick off the date sprawled across a Bedouin-inspired bed, Champagne in hand and eggs en route. Let her cosy up under blankets by a roaring fire (at the foot of the bed no less), and strike your best David Gandy circa D&G pose to seal the deal.
162-164 Lower Richmond Road, London SW15 1LY
Pedler - SE15’s where it’s at now so it’s your turn to teach her a thing or two. Pedler Peckham Rye kicks off daytime drinking at it’s best with Little Bird Gin Bloody Marys and Tequila Palomas with breakfast, an all-day wine menu and they even send you on your way with a bag of homemade doughnuts. The Rye is right outside and a perfect for picnicking so grab a juice spiked with Umeshu from Ali Baba (he’s THE man), a few craft beers from new booze shop Hop Burns and Black and boom, Peckham’s your oyster. While you're there, try out these other hot Peckham haunts.
58 Peckham Rye, London SE15 4JR
Soho Grind / Shoreditch Grind / London Grind - Keeping it casual with a coffee date but wanting in with the booze? The Hot Flat White Russian is your new BFF. The boys behind the Grind are doing magic things with those beans and when you mix caffeine and booze you’re in for a whole lotta fun. In Soho sneak down to the speakeasy as the daytime date heads in to night or keep on top of the game by sippin’ Espresso Martinis at London Grind before hitting Borough Market for some food. With all that caffeine you can guarantee she won’t be ‘too tired’.

Heading to the romantic shores of the South Bank for your date is cool, but you can do better than a window-view table at Zizzi. Head back from the river a bit and hit up Bar Elba. Make sure your cardio is decent cos this place has a lot of stairs, but once you're at the top, you're golden. It's got some epic views of the City and on a sunny day you soak up the rays while you check our their cocktails. Once the sun sets, make your way back down and get romantic with a hand-held walk along the river towards London Bridge and end up in the sexiest bar for miles, Lyaness... already a solid BarChick fave. Its the reincarnation of the World's Best Bar, so you know she's gonna be wowed.
Bar Elba, Rooftop Mercury House, 109-117 Waterloo Rd, Lambeth, London SE1 8UL
Lyaness, 20 Upper Ground, South Bank, London SE1 9PD
Oblix at The Shard - Nothing says love like taking her up the shard. Book a table by the window and sink some epic cocktails as you take in ridiculous views of London’s skyline. This is date night perfection, but the ring better be epic if you're gonna draw her attention away from the view.
Level 32, The Shard, 31 St Thomas Street, London SE1 9RY
Sky Garden at Walkie Talkie - This jungle-style hangout up in the skies is home to three levels of gardens, two restaurants, a hot bar and one seriously killer view - it screams date night. Best thing, it's totally free to get up there - so if you've just spanked your life savings on a ring, this could be a very romantic, very free way to whip it out. If you do have the dollar, treat her to slick cocktails looking out over London’s epic skyline, then hit Darwin Brasserie for some best of British cooking.
20 Fenchurch Street, London, EC3M 3BY
The American Bar at The Savoy - She won your heart? Well this place wins best bar in the world like every damn year so it’s kind of a no brainer. The best bartenders, world-famous cocktails, a god damn pianist who will play "your song" if you ask nicely - treat her to cocktail from The Savoy Songbook menu and live happily ever after. We expect an invite to the wedding, FYI...
