Enter through the fabulous gold revolving doors with a welcome from some of Dublin’s finest dressed men and you are in for a shock. This old Dublin favorite has had something of a revamp in recent times, and we don't mean the interior. Gone are the hordes of bankers sitting hand in hand with property developers, bartenders popping Moet-like pint bottles of Magners and 20-something girls pretending to be 40-something.
A real favourite with all Dubliners looking to celebrate whatever occasion they can find. The walls are lined with pictures of the beautiful St Stephens Green Park across the road, and you definitely know you are sitting in a five star hotel.
This is where BarChick goes when she wants to feel fabulous in Dublin (is that even a thing?). The best thing to drink is no doubt Champagne by the glass, or try one of the award winning cocktails on their extensive menu. We went for The No.27, the signature blend of bourbon, Benedictine, honey, lemon and bitters followed by our favorite Champagne and oysters from the Ice Bar... fancy! Oh and if you’re into your whiskey and Guinness head out the back to The Horseshoe Bar, if it was good enough for JFK then it’s good enough for BarChick and you!
