Come 6pm aka. apperitvo hour this teeny little hole-in-the-wall bacari in Rialto is the hottest joint in town. No freakin’ wonder when it serves up the Venetian fave Aperol Spritz for just over two euro and glasses of house wine for one. Oh and also the best cicetti in town, that's little Italian snacks - a genius invention.

Don’t come expecting a seat. It’s a standing on the street situation and if you’re lucky you might get a bit of barrel to plonk your drink on. The atmosphere outside this little bar is mega; when BarChick swung by the owners behind the bar were scribbling wines up on the chalkboard and pumping out motown tunes. The crowd is a mixed bag and anything goes from students and post-work drinkers to tourists in the know; it’s got to be done.
