You’ve seen the Acropolis, you’re ready for a drink, it’s only midday. You do not wanna be surrounded by obnoxious tourists. BarChick presents to you: The Clumsies. Award-winning bar, city hotspot, beloved by locals. Whether you’re here for the cocktails or that all-day drinking vibe, one visit and you’ll see why it frequently appears high in the 50 Best Bar lists (with a top 3 position for 2020!).

We went for the Clumsy Smash, partly ‘cos of Otto’s Athens vermouth. Local ingredients are speckled through the menu (Greek salad? Go on then…) so have fun. Not in it for the cocktails? They have coffee, beer, natural wine made in the Clumsy basement... or if you're really in it for the cocktails, get involved in the Degustation Cocktail Menu and have four. Ok they're half size so it's not quite as outrageous as it sounds, but we still recommend lining your stomach by smashing the daily brunch that goes on until 6pm. 

You have to love the space. Once a dilapidated building, now a super welcoming bar which is bright ’n light in the day, and steadily changes ambiance as the night progresses. Rolling with a crew and want something special? Hire out The Room, complete with a fireplace, bookcase, billiard table and vinyl LPs. You might never want to leave. Yes, the all-day vibe encourages locals to party at this hotspot. But it’s also the focus on interaction between bartender and customer that makes this bar rock; no pretence, just damn good times.
