Set in a landmark brick building from the 1920s, this place has nailed some seriously dapper elegance. It’s all about refined, old school charm, the kind that’s synonymous with a roaring good time and generous lashings of fun.

Think bright and white, skylights, mirrors and a monochrome finish. There is a healthy selection of wine and beer but we’re here for the cocktails, baby. They serve all the old favourites but the boys behind the bar have a few inventions of their own, try the Parnell Club (gin, lavender, lemon juice, mint and egg white) for that little touch of silkiness.

You can either pull up a seat outside (there’s a courtyard) or join the large communal table and get your chat on. There’s a yummy selection of small plates, cheeses and most importantly... donut bombs. Yes please.
