This place is rammed from the word go - shockingly early for these siesta lovin' Spaniards. It might be because half of them are tourists, but it’s so good you don't mind mucking in with them all. The atmosphere is buzzing and although it appears slightly hectic, it works, and somehow the guys stay on top of orders and service is incredibly quick, British bars take note!
You’ve got to check out their champagne; La Cava Casa Estavet, it seems to be the drink du jour in here, and as it is bottled specifically for them it would be rude not to get one. And no, you can’t have it by the glass, they only do it by the bottle! If you can't finish it then share it with some Swedes on the next door table like BarChick did.
There are giant sausages, huge tins of tuna, and large barrels all hanging from the ceiling - it all feels very Spanish! The tapas is on the money, whatever you order will be great (more hairy fish available than you can imagine!). There are Grannies working out back, proper beer, and you leave feeling just as cultured as you do in the Gaudi park.
