Who doesn’t love a sexed-up diner? It’s a bit of a trek from the centre but if you want to carb load and drink exciting cocktails simultaneously, BarChick wouldn’t dream of doing it anywhere else. The walls are black, the ceiling is lined with tequila bottles and the music is good. Sashay across the checked floor and take a pew on one of the high chairs at the green bar. The guys behind it are all super friendly and will make you feel right at home.

The cocktail menu is bang on; BarChick kicked off with an Urban Fox (plenty of those about), with Miller’s Gin, elderflower liqueur, grapefruit and egg white, it was a good drink to ease into the long night. Or they make a mean Whisky Sour if you want to get straight to the point. Hit some bar snacks (you’ve gotta if you wanna drink here) but with pig’s cheek croquettes and jalapeno and cheese poppers this good you won’t have to be forced.

Slide into a banquette if you want to take dinner seriously, we’re talking burgers, ribs, steaks and some seriously badass sides. And do swing by for brunch the next morning, it’s mega.
