If it’s a great night out you’re looking for, this modern Asian restaurant /cocktail bar / club has it all, it’s like the gift that keeps on giving. With private karaoke in the basement and some of Dublin’s best DJs rocking the main room late night, expect to be in here for a while.

We went for dinner early on a Friday and stayed until 3am (not that that’s unheard of). After a banging (and cheap) bento box we hit downstairs for karaoke and after fulfilling our Lionel Richie desires, came back to find the restaurant transformed into a full dance floor filled with some of Dublin’s finest dancing to all our favourite disco hits. Now that’s our kinda party.

Specialising in sake and umeshu cocktails, the focus is heavily Japanese, with great whiskeys and beers all imported and the bartenders seriously know their stuff. We went for the Plum Sake Martini with vodka and umeshu; which sweetened us right up for the night ahead.

This place really does go off on a weekend and if you ever see a man wearing stilettos and a kimono dancing on the bar that’s Duncan, he’s the owner, tell him Barchick sent you!
