Forte Fanfulla

BARCHICK SAYS

There’s all sorts going on in this hood, but one of the most vibrant centri sociali is Fanfulla.

Once located inside a garage, it’s now moved to a larger venue on the same street. But the art-house association has carried the same vibe to its new location; if it ain’t boho then it’s out. The table football is still there, a stage for live music, the strips of red lighting behind one of the bars; the jumble of furniture, and now a few tables inside for snacks and a small library with a photo studio, obvs. Expect lots of beards and biodynamic wine drinkers.

When BarChick was last there, some earnest, pierced, tattooed students were making a presentation about new computer software in Italy over the past thirty years. Suitably random, but hey, we’re happy to learn something as long as its accompanied by dirt cheap drinks.

NB: The first time you enter, you have to complete a quick membership form, which costs €7, but entitles you to free entry for the rest of the calendar year. It’s worth it if you’re here awhile.
