We're massive fans of 22 Ships and Ham & Sherry, so anything Jason Atherton and Yenn Wong do has got our attention. This place is no exception.
Located in Central’s arty PMQ, the style is upscale rustic-urban. The bar spans the entire length of the ground floor so you’ve got plenty of room to knock back the mega cocktails. They've got all the classics, or go off-piste. When we rocked up it was all about the Teeling Delicate - Teeling Small Batch whiskey, nitro cold-brew coffee, and a side of hipster cred, thanks.
We snacked on the light bites - smoked steak tartare with Marmite cured egg yolk is as kickass as it sounds. You can also head upstairs to the cosy, bistro-style dining room for more substantial British cuisine, or hit the terrace and chill. They've got a - gasp - lawn (kinda), so feel the grass underfoot as you knock back a G&T. Aberdeen Street Social has it so right it’s become a regular hangout for the HK bar industry, Barchick included.
