This is a proper Hong Kong institution - it's been around for over half a century, after all. Captain's Bar is one of the city's most welcoming watering holes, especially after a long day slaving in the office. Make like a local and sink into one of the plentiful red leather armchairs or sofas with a silver tankard of draught beer. Or, as BarChick prefers, grab one of the marvellously mixed martinis. Old school glam nailed. 

The super slick waiters in white coats are the perfect professionals and give the bar its note of sophistication and timelessness. This is the perfect place to meet a client, catch up with an old friend or take your parents for some chic-yet-cosy downtime. Try to stop by when the jazz and blues band is bringing its live music buzz to the room. They say more business deals have been sealed here than in the city’s boardrooms. Fact remains; it’s a damn classy joint. They have a great by-the-glass wine list (the hotel's sommelier is one of HK's best) and their cocktails pack a punch. Tasty bar snacks are plentiful and ensure there's never any reason to leave in a hurry. More cash to splash on cocktails, then.
